DocMyHealth (“we”, “us”) is a personal health organizer that lets you store medical records, medicines, nutrition logs, and emergency information, and upload lab reports and prescriptions for AI-assisted data extraction that you review and confirm. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It is written for users in India.
Information we collect
- Account & profile: name, email, and profile details you provide (e.g. date of birth, gender, blood group), including for family members you add.
- Health information you enter or upload: medical records, lab reports, prescriptions, medicines and schedules, nutrition entries, and emergency-sharing details. Uploaded files may contain sensitive personal health data.
- AI-extracted data: values our system extracts from your uploads (test names, results, units, ranges) for you to review and confirm.
- Technical data: basic device/log information needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use your information
- To provide the service — store and display your records, medicines, nutrition, and emergency shares.
- To extract data from lab reports and prescriptions you upload, so you can review and confirm it.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your health data for advertising.
AI processing & sub-processors
To extract information from documents you upload, we send the relevant content — including images or PDFs of your lab reports/prescriptions and text derived from them — to third-party AI providers that perform the extraction on our behalf:
- OpenAI and/or Anthropic (Claude) — vision/language processing for classification and data extraction.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers that run our servers and store your files.
These providers process this data under their own terms and are not permitted to use it to train their models where such controls are available to us. We share only what is needed to perform the extraction you requested.
Storage, location & retention
Your data is stored on our hosting provider’s infrastructure. The specific hosting region will be confirmed here before public launch; we serve users in India first. We retain your information for as long as your account is active, and delete or anonymize it after account deletion as described below (subject to any legal retention obligations).
Your rights & account deletion
You can view and edit most of your information in the app. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email support@docmyhealth.com. We will action verified deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by email. In-app self-service deletion is planned for a future release.
Cookies
We use essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and keep your login confidential.
Not a medical device; not medical advice
DocMyHealth is an organizational tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. AI-extracted values may contain errors — you are responsible for reviewing and confirming every value against your original documents. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
Children
The service is intended for users aged 18 and over. You may add records for family members (including minors) that you are authorized to manage.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notified in the app.
